How to Play Fan Tan
Fan Tan, or fancan is an ancient Chinese gambling game that was played for centuries in China. It's often referred to as the "lottery game" and is in essence an unreliable game. It is possible to get lucky and possibly make millions of dollars if luck is favorable. If luck is bad, you might lose all your money.
Fan tan can be played using standard playing cards, which are also called Mandarin cards. But, one advantage to playing with normal cards is that it's easier to read the cards when you're playing in a groups. There are usually three suits (nings), which are the Queen, King, and Jacks. Fantan is often played with seven cards.
Traditional fan tan involves buying seven chips , and placing them on the table. Then, the player takes turns throwing the chips at the other players. Each chip that hits board is counted as one point. The player who scores the most points at finish wins. There is no time limit on this game.
Another variation of fan-tan is played on a table that is equipped with two chairs. The chairs are placed facing one another on the opposite side of the table. These rules are similar as the regular table games however, there is the minimum and maximum chip limit. There is also the option of playing with seven cards.
The rules for the game are exactly the same as a regular solitaire game. All the players should remove their cards from their decks and place their cards in front of them. The player with the most cards is considered to be the "leader". Players can take turns throwing their cards at the other players, in counterclockwise order, around the table. Players may lay their cards down face-down. After the game, the player who has the most cards, after all players have discarded their cards is called the "queen".

If someone makes a call and then looks at his cards, the player whose card it is must return the call before other players are able to call back.
Fan-tan is a third type of Fan Tan. This allows players to have their bets cut down to five cards. The player who has the last pair, fifth and last five cards of his suit can call against anyone else who has not yet declared his hands. If there are no other players left when this happens the player who has the last pair, fifth and final five cards in his suit could make a call prior to the other players having the chance to make a second call.
